Live Nalchik
A project that allows residents and visitors of the city to see what’s happening on the streets in real time without leaving home. In the app, users post photos, videos, and short descriptions directly on the map, marking specific locations. These can be interesting events, important news, or just atmospheric moments of the city. When opening the app, you immediately see what’s happening in Nalchik: festive lights, spontaneous concerts, accidents, or beautiful sunsets — all in one space.
In addition to posts, green dots appear on the map — these show the locations of users currently in the city. The dots are anonymous but create a sense of presence, bringing the map to life. You can see where people are walking, where there is more activity, and where it’s quiet. This gives a feeling of unity and the living rhythm of the city.
The app is intentionally minimalist: post cards are simple and clean, without comments, but with the option to quickly react — like, show surprise, or express other emotions. This format makes interaction easy and dynamic. Post authors can link their Instagram profiles so readers can visit the social network and follow them for more content.
The interface emphasizes the map: semi-transparent glass panels layered over the map create a sense of depth and materiality. The entire project concept focuses on the main goal — showing the city’s life in motion, making it accessible, easy, and visually attractive.
